The day the UK has been dreading. The death of the longest reigning monarch in British history at the age of 96. At the age of just 21, on Her birthday, the then Princess Elizabeth took part in a radio broadcast dedicating Her life to the Commonwealth, announcing ‘’I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.’’ Her astonishing reign, lasting more than seven decades, longer than any other Monarch in British history, selflessly demonstrated the true and loyal commitment to public service. Just two days before Her death, she met Her 15th prime minister demonstrating how duty was served right up until her death.

Queens English Language School was closed on the 19th September 2022 for the Queen’s state funeral which took place at Westminster Abbey. It was the first state funeral in over half a century. We joined the rest of the country in a state of mourning

Queen Elizabeth’s first son Prince Charles has succeeded the throne and is now knows as King Charles III. The queen died peacefully at Balmoral Castle.

Long live King Charles III.
